PAHopkins and her wonderfully described dragon:
Her scales start out deep dark blue at the base then lighten until they are white at the tip. Her eyes are the deepest emerald green you've ever seen. Her face is delicate yet strong. At first sight you believe she is young and innocent but upon closer inspection you realize that she has aged very well and her years of experience show through. Innocent is something she is not. Devious is more likely a word used to describe her. She is small, compact and built for speed and power.
Now, since it was so hard for us to decide, we chose a runner-up that will win some swag. And the winner of the swag is...

Burgandy Ice and her dragon:
I know my dragon would be HUGE and male - his body would be as bog as my Suburban and the rest of him would be long and snaky. All black, glistening, reflective black and he could color change to blend in with his surroundings when he needed to, like a chameleon. Only the smoke rising from his large nostrils would still be visible. It's taken a lot of time, but I can ride him when he flies and he can wink from one place to another in an instant. We are best friends, deeply heart-connected forever, but we get into arguments frequently and he is not any sort of gentle giant... he is not a TAME dragon at all. He is very opiniated, very goal orientated and very pushy for someone who's not human. If I wasn't such a bugger of an opinionated pushy person myself, he could be called controlling, but I am what I am and I love the way he is, too. He scares the crap out of anyone who sees him - and he likes that. I kinda do too.

Signed Eragon paperback Giveaway
I apologize for the lack of posts. I've been out of town visiting family, sick (which I currently am), busy with school, and busy with winter guard (we twirl/toss the flags, rifles, and sabers out on the football field, generally with the marching band.) So to make it up to you guys, I'm going to do another giveaway, a giveaway for a book I'm sure you've all heard of. Eragon signed by the wonderful Christopher Paolini.
Since this is a more known book, I'm going to make the entries a little more exciting. So, in order to enter into this giveaway, you must post a comment either describing what your dragon would look like or you can post a comment with a link to a drawing of your dragon. If you absolutely can not post a comment with a link or a description, then you can email your entry to gigglzha@gmail.com but you must have "signed Eragon giveaway entry" in the subject line, or I will not open the email.
When posting your comment, please add in something so I can identify you if you win. You do not have to post your name, just something to identify you.
Rules:
I will post the winner on Sunday, February 26th.
Sorry guys, I forgot to add that this is US only! Sorry for any inconvience.
There are no other requirements in order to enter the contest. Thank you for entering and feel free to ask any questions.

Forbidden Review
I'm going to try out a new grading scale and 'Forbidden' is my "lab rat". I hope this works. If you guys could comment and tell me if it's confusing and what I can do to make it less confusing, that would help loads! Gracias!
Okay, I've split the grading into 6 different categories, Romance, Characters, Storyline, Action, Swearing, and Cleanliness (which is split into two smaller categories, Drinking/Drugs and Sexual Content.) Every category gets a total of 100 possible points (Drinking/Drugs and Sexual Content have 50 possible points) The first four categories are graded on how good I think they are throughout the book. The last two are graded on how little there is. So, if there is a lot of swearing in the book, it will get a lower score than a book with little/no swearing. I then add up all of the categories scores and divide it by 600. (Ex: category scores sum=520. 520/600= 0.866 move decimal two places to the right and round= 87.)
A+) 100-90

B+) 69-60
B) 59-50
B-) 49-40
C+) 39-30
C) 29-20
C-) 19-10
F) 10-0
So the book would get an overall 'A'. Make sense?
Okay, so Forbidden's scores are:

Characters- A- 79
Storyline- A 87
Action- A+ 100
Swearing- A- 78
Cleanliness- A+ 100

Overall score: A
Levi's job is to protect his human until it's their time to go. That's what a Guard does. He's done it for years on end, and he'll spend his eternity doing the same, mundane thing, following the same, mundane rules.
...Watch from afar.
...Never share your name.
...And above all, never touch a human.
What Levi doesn't know is that his newest human to protect, Hannah, just might be the catalyst to tipping the scales between good and evil, and he will be forced to decide which side he belongs to. Which friends will he side with, and who will he ultimately protect: his human, or the delicate balance that hangs on stopping the heartbeat of the person he has sworn to protect?
And, when you're already condemned, what's there to lose by breaking the rules?
THE GUARDIAN CHRONICLES: FORBIDDEN will take you into a world of Guards and Guardians, Light and Darkness. What side will you take? (Review from Goodreads)

The first book I read by Megan Curd was Bridger and I loved it from the beginning. So when I was offered the opportunity to read and review Forbidden, I jumped at it right away. I was given the same results as Bridger, I loved it from beginning to end. It was action-packed, had a wonderful romance, and was a good, clean book. Forbidden definitely deserves the 'A'. (Check out my review of Bridger here)
You should all know me by now, and therefore should know that I always talk about romance first. This was a classic forbidden romance. (That was not intended.) Their relationship definitely wasn't perfect, Hannah had some trust issues with Levi when she learned a little about his past, but it was quickly resolved. This was a great, classic romance that you just can't help to love.
I do have to thank Megan for writing a clean book. If you noticed, the book scored all 'A's' in Swearing and Cleanliness, which I've discovered is really hard to do. It's just realy hard to find clean books that are interesting these days and those authors that write them should be recognized and thanked (over and over and over again.)
I don't have much else I can say to convince you of how amazing this book is besides, read it yourself to see just how awesome it is.

My Review:
Touch by Jus Accardo is a fast-paced novel that includes lots of action and that wonderful thing I love called romance. It gave me heartache, chills, and knots in my stomach. The action never ceased, always keeping me on the edge of my seat. I stayed up till one in morning on some nights, just so I could see what happened next. It completely captivated my attention for all of Fall break.
Even though the book was so thrilling, I can't ignore the content that I didn't appreciate. I would definitely not let my little sister read it or any teen 14 or younger. There is a lot of drinking, swearing, and some sexual content. For these reasons I don't like the book as much as I would have if it didn't contain these three. Now don't get me wrong, the book was great and I can understand some swearing and drinking. But I am strongly against sexual content in young adult books. It just simply should not be in there. As I said before, this book was really good and if it hadn't had those things in there, I would have enjoyed it more.
I really liked the book, and I would love to read the next book (if there is one/going to be one). I really want to find out what happens to Kale and Dez. I just hope the sexual content vanishes.

Under the Never Sky Review
"A world of nevers under a never sky." (Aria, pg 93 *ebook format*)
"Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.
As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.
They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers abarbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love - one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY
The first book in a captivating trilogy, Veronica Rossi’s enthralling debut sweeps you into an unforgettable adventure." From Goodreads.

Wow. Just WOW. That's how I would describe this book. The characters felt so real. The author made it feel like I was experiencing everything for the first time. I can honestly say that while I was reading this, the whole time, I felt like I was Aria. I am completely speechless. I honestly don't know where to start. Okay, I that's a lie. If you know me, I have to talk about the romance with every book I review, and since this romance was so amazing, I have to start there.
I love the relationship Perry and Aria have. It's such a hook that you just can't get yourself off of once you take the bait. They drive you nuts! They want each other, deep down, you know they do, but they keep on denying it and you want to smash their heads together. They continually get so close and you say to yourself, “It's time! They're finally going to kiss! Yay!” and then you turn the page and he leaves. Then you wish he were real so you could get your dad's shotgun and shoot him, because it's like the fifth time he did that. But all the suspense is so worth it when it finally happens. You can feel the weight being lifted off your shoulders. So thanks Veronica Rossi for that amazing relationship you gave them. It was one of the best things in this book.
The beginning of the book is a little confusing with the technology they use and what it does, but it all gets explained later in the book and if you use common sense you can figure it out. So when you first hear the word “Realms” and that it has something to do with this little doohickey called a “Smarteye”, use common sense and reading between the lines. It helps loads. But if you can't figure it out, don't freak, just continue reading.
I loved everything about this book. The storyline was well planned out and wonderful, the romance, well, you read the paragraph above, and just everything else was great. I'm super excited for the next book, can't wait already. Get this book as soon as you can and read it. Especially if you are a total sucker for romances, like me. To end, in four words, I LOVE this book!
