Hello! I am excited to be the next stop on the Bridger blog tour! Thank you to Julie at A Tale of Many Reviews for putting this together and allowing all of us to join in on the fun! Let's have some fun!
Here is the summary for Bridger:
"Ashlyn McVean doesn't believe in fairy tales. That is, until Ashlyn is thrown into the crosshairs of grudges her grandmother created long ago. After finding out she is one of two people able to cross between faerie realms, Ashlyn is faced with trying to understand her abilities, along with navigating a new relationship with her boyfriend, Liam. As if being on a centuries old hit list and dealing with crazed pixies isn't enough, her new abilities mean trouble for Liam. Knowing her new life puts everyone she loves in danger, Ashlyn must decide what's most important in her life between friends, family, love, and ultimately, realms."
Summary from GoodreadsMy review:
I very much enjoyed reading this book. From the beginning it was quite interesting. There were some slow parts, but every book has those, right? I am very pleased with how this book ended. It didn't end with a major cliff-hanger that makes you want to throw the book against the wall and demand the author to tell you why they are so cruel to make you have to wait a whole year to find out what happens, but the it had an interesting enough ending to make you want to pick up the second book and read it.
I was semi-pleased with Liam's and Ash's relationship. I am a total romance fanatic and I have a weakness for dreamy guys in books, but I do like the relationships to grow. With Liam and Ash, it was like love at first sight, which is great, but I feel like they never really get to know each other. With them not knowing each other, I can't really take their relationship to seriously. They spend time together and Ash says that they've gotten to know each other, but I really would have liked it if Megan Curd had shown us some of the time they spent together. It would have helped it not seem like they were just in love with each other for their looks.
I'm glad that I read this book, but it's not a book that I would have dropped everything to finish. It's definitely a book that I could wait to read. I am excited to find out what happens next, but I can wait till the next one comes out.
