Teaser Tuesday 9/13/11

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Okay, so I'm not reading this book, but it's coming out on October 25 and I'm super excited for it, so I'm going to take the teasers off of the author's website.
The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
"She came for me in the end, as I knew she would. I'd made certain it would be her. The terrible Iron Queen, her eyes filled with fury and sorrow, facing me across the ravaged fields of the Nevernever."
This was last week's teaser, but I love it so much and I want to read the book even MORE (which I didn't think was possible) when I read it, so maybe it will have an effect on you :)
If you haven't read this series, then please! READ IT!!!
But before you do, post a comment including your teaser!

  1. In every government on earth is some trace of human weakness, some germ of corruption and degeneracy, which cunning will discover, and wickedness insensibly open, cultivate and improve.

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people.

  2. It must, therefore be trusted to the people themselves.

(I felt like I had to share that last sentence, because it really ties the idea together).

  3. Great thoughts... very true :) Thanks for sharing

  4. I vote yes. Name that book.
